Dear Tango Lovers,
 We are happy that you consider coming to Maui for this wonderful opportunity to study with some very wonderful Tango teachers. The TangoFest Maui will be held at the Studio Maui, a large wonderful Dance Studio complex in Haiku on Maui’s wild and beautiful North Shore, as well as at the studios at the MACC in Kahalui and at Mapa for the Milongas in Wailuku. You will find a map of its location on the Studio Maui website. Close to the Studio Maui are supreme windsurf and surf locations, fantastic beaches, hidden waterfalls and ponds, Haleakala crater with its spectacular sun rises and sunsets, and the gorgeous luscious Hawaiian landscape. All over the north shore you will find great Bed & Breakfasts of all price ranges, styles and comforts. It is also possible to rent various houses and condos on the north shore. There are no big hotels on this side of the island. We have included a sampling of the various web sites offering many Bed & Breakfasts, houses and villas and apartments for rent. Please only consider places on the North Shore to cut down on travel time. If you decide to get accommodations in Kihei. Wailea, Maalea or Lahaina you need to factor in a travel time between 45 and 65 minutes each way to and from the Studio Maui or 30 minutes to the MACC and Mapa
In order to come to Maui you will fly into Kahului airport. There are many direct flights from the mainland to and from Maui. It is advisable to rent a car in order to get around Maui. Maui has temperatures from the 80’s-90’s in the summer and there is always a good breeze on the north shore to keep temperatures pleasant. We have planned the class schedule in such a way that you can hang out at the beach or go sightseeing in the mornings until noon and then get into the dancing afterwards. For those on a tight budget we are in the process of creating a system where a limited amount of people can stay with some of the local dancers here on the island against a smaller fee than what a normal bed and breakfast would ask.
